Update on the Website

This is just a quick update on my website.

My old server was abandoned so I lost everything and had to get a new one.
I am in the process or redoing everything. I have the basics and now the
contact page done. I hope to have it fixed soon. Thanks for your patience.

Some Recent Photos

Here is ten recent photos that I have taken. I will put a brief description below each one so you have an idea of what is going on.

The first six are from a workshop I attended in Independence, TX. Just north of Brenham. This workshop was called WOW-6, it was a "Trash the Dress" type of shoot where we had models in wedding dresses doing whatever we could think of doing.

This was a sunrise shot I did while waiting for everyone
to arrive/get ready for the WoW-6 Workshop.

Flowers at Sunset
Taken at the dock by my house. These flowers
were about 4 inches tall and I captured the sunset
at the base of the flower.

Jamie Reese
Jamie was down here from Arkansas and got in touch
with me and wanted to help me out with my portfolio.
I could pass up the help. The sun was a little too harsh
on me but I got a few good shots anyways.

Tricia's Family
This was a family shoot I did for some friends I
met a while back when I was taking photos of the
sunset one night. They invited me to be a part of
this special occasion. This was four generations
worth of family here. I had a wonderful time, but
the sun wasn't so nice to me. It was pretty hot
that day. I was glad they had shade to be in.

I just want to give a big Thank You! to everyone in these photos for giving me the opportunity of taking your photos. I really needed the practice and you guys came though. I learned a few things that I needed to know.

That's all for now!
Until next time...

Blogging sucks!

I am not very good at this so I try to weasel my way out of it. I need to stop doing that now that I am taking photos more. I will try to post my good stuff here and not everything that I keep. That is just not good practice. I need to work on lighting and posing. I think those two things are my weaknesses at the moment. That is all for now. I think I will try and find a photo or two to post. In the meantime, you can visit my webpage www.michaelbiggsphotography.com for anything else as far as what I'm up to.

Until next time...

1st Photoshoot (practice)

I did my 1st photo shoot on Friday. I took around 143 pictures and kept just over 120 of them. It was from 6:30pm to about 8-ish. Some of the pictures have some grain in them because I was using an ISO of 800-1600. All in all I am pleased with them. I am supposed to go later today to take some more. They should turn out real good since it will be daylight out still. I should be posting some real soon, I want them to see them 1st.
